As a Retail Sales Planning Lead, responsible for optimizing the shopping experience and maximizing retail sales, you will:
Use your knowledge of interior design to provide guidance on layout, color, style and accessories for residential and business customers who need advice on how to decorate their homes, offices, or businesses.
Utilize specialized knowledge to sell specialized home furnishing solutions, such as kitchens, bath, storage systems, and services.
Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide support before, during, and after the sale.
Apply basic measurement techniques and understanding of planning, design, and construction to ensure orders are correct and meet specifications.
Drive repeat visitation to the IKEA stores by ensuring the sales team is customer-centric and focused on a great shopping and branding experience.
Oversee day-to-day operations when assigned, including opening and/or closing duties for the store.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment, handling escalated customer issues, injuries, first aid/CPR/AED, and emergency protocols.
Partner with Safety & Security to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, audits, and internal controls.
Support the implementation of working routines, competence development, and follow-up of Commercial Review and Compliance (ASR) related to the role and functions.
Perform CMP goods flow and customer handout operations efficiently using available systems and tools to ensure smooth processes and data accuracy.

Qualifications Approximately 3 years of experience
Previous retail selling experience
Experience in a consultative sales environment
Experience leading change initiatives and building new programs in a retail space
Experience in designing kitchen and bath preferred
CPR/First Aid Certification required (training provided)
Travel required: 25-50% (2 days per week on average)
