We’re looking for a sales consultant who takes time to build relationships with customers to understand their true needs and help them purchase the right car, not necessarily the most expensive one.
What you will do – Essential responsibilities
Use your knowledge of CarMax inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.
Guide customers through the process from appraisal to test drives and financing applications.
Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for customers.
CarMax pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 640 hours of selling; after that, commissions become the primary form of pay.
Learn and succeed as part of a team This is a high-energy sales environment where you will work as a team to meet goals. We provide paid training and a personal sales mentor dedicated to your ongoing development. Auto sales experience isn’t required.
Qualifications and requirements
Sales and customer service experience, in retail or similar settings, is preferred.
Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
High level of self-motivation.
