Position Overview: Manatee Farms, a trusted local grower of high-quality plants for over 50 years, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable In-House Sales Representative to join our sales team. This position is ideal for someone with strong plant industry experience who understands the needs of national/regional/local retail and wholesale customers. The ideal candidate will be relationship-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to support customer success and drive company growth. The position will be one that manages existing clients as well as prospecting for new customers for increased sales.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships with retail and wholesale clients
Understand and meet the specific needs of each customer
Drive sales results through proactive customer engagement
Perform data entry and manage customer information using computer systems (preferably QuickBooks)
Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer inquiries promptly
Travel locally to visit customers as needed
Contribute to a team environment and support company sales goals
Checking orders for quality and accuracy
Qualifications
Sales experience in the plant or horticulture industry
Extensive knowledge of plants and plant care
Proficiency in basic computer tasks; experience with QuickBooks preferred
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
