With moderate supervision, the Retail Keyholder assists the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities and provides outstanding guest service within a sales culture that utilizes GameStop’s Circle of Life buy, sell, trade, and reservation business model. The position ensures products are easily accessible and purchasable, boosts sales, maintains cleanliness, and fosters guest loyalty.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests, respond to their questions and concerns, assist with gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, recommend additional items, apply selling behaviors, and express gratitude to every guest.
Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business.
Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS computer system.
Address guest comments or questions in person or over the phone, answering calls promptly and courteously.
Promote GameStop’s unique guest benefits, such as the title reservation program and Pro Rewards.
Ensure all areas of the store, including restrooms, are clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order.
Complete Omni‑Channel orders daily.
Safeguard company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safety best practices, and make bank deposits as required.
Conduct store inventory counts, stock and restock merchandise, and move products from the stockroom to the front of the store to ensure proper representation.
Support store management in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
Count, balance, and reconcile daily business transaction totals accurately in the POS system and complete closeout paperwork.
Check shipments for discrepancies or shortages, record any discrepancies, and report to the appropriate manager.
Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately and promptly.
Visually inspect associates’ and leaders’ packages and/or belongings at closing or end of shift.
Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management.
Consistently adhere to GameStop policies and procedures, including those in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
Follow all opening and closing procedures.
Observe associate performance and provide timely and appropriate feedback to store management.
Qualifications
Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
Minimum age 18 years.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
Video game knowledge preferred.
Ability to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day.

Bend, stoop, reach with arms/hands, climb ladders, and lift merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs from ground level to a minimum height of 4 feet.
Stand and move throughout the store unassisted to provide guest service or perform tasks in any part of the store for up to 10 hours per day.
Pay $17.50 – $20.25 per hour
