Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships. Assist with store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and daily maintenance. Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner. Handle donations with care and respect for donors. Maintain merchandise categories, color codes, and “rag out” schedules according to ARC policies. Clean and general maintain store property and keep a clutter-free work area. Report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management. Support the work therapy program by providing professional conduct, work habits, and supervision as directed by the supervisor. Perform cash handling, bank deposit, and daily sales reporting as a cashier/sales floor employee. Sort, price, stock, and “rag out” showcase merchandise and other areas as directed. Assist with sorting, hanging, and running clothing racks, tagging, and ticketing merchandise as required. Maintain a clean and pleasant donation facility and safeguard all donated materials. Perform lawn and garden work as needed. Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Qualifications
Ability to speak and understand English for effective communication with supervisors, employees, beneficiaries, and customers. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift 50 pounds (or 100 pounds as required).
