Job Summary
The main duties of Part Time Sales Associates are to greet and assist guests in their selection and purchase of merchandise.
This opportunity is at The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley location in Edinburg, TX.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate effective guest service skills and resolve guest issues effectively.
Enter guest data and other sales data for guests into POS (sales, returns, special orders, engraving, repairs) completely and accurately and obtain proper signatures on guest sales.
Present jewelry from stock/cases to guests and replace items in correct areas when a sale is completed.
Repair, polish or solder jewelry (if over 18).
Utilize the GUESTS program when interacting with guests on the sales floor or phone and when handling guest-owned jewelry.
Provide knowledgeable service to guests on product information utilizing in-store tools and training.
Box and wrap sales for gift presentation.
Achieve established individual key performance metrics.
Assist store management in achieving store key performance indicator metrics.
Assist store management in meeting company standards in overall store presentation.
Assist with daily housekeeping and maintenance duties.
Attend all required meetings.
Consistently demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills; a strong attention to detail and a high degree of organizational skills.
Must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
Good communication skills.
Good organizational skills and time management.
Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and manage frequent interruptions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
Possess strong problem diagnostic skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Enthusiastic, willing to learn, and contributes to a positive team spirit.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous retail sales or guest service experience.
