North Hollywood Toyota (TNH) is seeking a Parts Counter to enhance our current Parts department growth. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, multitask and energetic candidate to join our team. TNH offers a work environment and encourages internal promotions.
As a Parts Counter, you’ll manage inbound calls, provide price quotes, and answer any other inquiries for customers. You will support the pulling and filling of orders from stock and pull orders for delivery, serving as the leading support to our Parts team.
This is a full‑time role in which you’ll report to the Parts Manager and must be willing to work onsite at the North Hollywood Toyota office.
Responsibilities
Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting parts
Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials, ensuring that the customer is exposed to the full product line
Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
Review body‑shop estimates, confirm parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers
Pull and fill orders from stock
Report out‑of‑stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention to Parts Manager
Locate out‑of‑stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order, if necessary
Notify the service advisor and the customer when special‑ordered parts have been received
Notify the body shop when all parts have arrived and when they will be delivered
Pull orders for delivery to the body shop, making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job number
Follow up on back‑ordered parts
Verify will‑call back‑order files weekly and return to vendors, or stock items not picked up or required
Replenish assigned inventory daily
Assist outside sales representatives with their orders
Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring the original invoice or its number is available for verification of purchase and pricing
Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians
Maintain orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates and special‑order parts
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick‑up
Solicit assigned accounts by phone
Stay current on new products and product updates
Work with the Parts Manager in maintaining a lost‑sales tracking program
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of experience
High School Diploma or higher – Preferred
Must have a valid Driver’s License and be eligible for coverage under Garage Liability policy (not an excluded driver)
Strong oral and written communication
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making skills
Strong integrity
Friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude
Complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
