About the WNFC The Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC) is the premier women’s tackle football league in the United States, committed to showcasing elite athletes and advancing equity in sports. We are building a powerful, purpose‑driven brand that extends beyond the field and beyond social media. Position Overview The PR & Marketing Intern will play a key role in expanding the WNFC’s visibility outside of social media channels. This role is ideal for someone interested in sports marketing, public relations, grassroots promotion, and brand partnerships. The intern will help drive awareness through traditional media, community engagement, events, and strategic outreach. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and executing PR campaigns that increase awareness of the WNFC beyond digital platforms Research and build media lists (local, regional, and national press, radio, podcasts, TV) Draft press releases, media pitches, and outreach emails Support media relations efforts, including pitching stories and coordinating interviews Identify and secure community engagement opportunities (events, speaking engagements, partnerships) Help coordinate in-person promotional efforts such as game‑day activations, watch parties, and local events Assist in developing partnerships with brands, organizations, and local businesses Track and report on PR coverage and offline marketing impact Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels Qualifications Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills Interest in sports, women’s sports, and brand storytelling Highly organized with strong attention to detail Self‑starter who is comfortable with outreach and relationship‑building Ability to think creatively about non‑digital marketing strategies Familiarity with media relations or event planning is a plus What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience in sports PR and marketing Opportunities to build a professional portfolio (press materials, campaigns, partnerships) Direct exposure to a growing national sports league Networking opportunities within sports, media, and business communities The chance to contribute to the growth of women’s professional sports Time Commitment Part‑time paid internship (hours flexible based on availability) Duration: May 1, 2026 — Aug 1, 2026 Location Remote with opportunities for in‑person event support (if applicable) #J-18808-Ljbffr
