We have a depth of experience valuing real property on a local, national, and international basis, advising each client on the critical areas most relevant to their unique needs.

What will you be doing?

As part of a select and highly skilled Financial & Tax Reporting Valuation team, you will have the opportunity to assist on engagements primarily related to the valuation of real estate and real estate entities, which may include financial modeling, business enterprise valuations (of real estate entities), appraisals of real property for a variety of purposes, and real property valuations for financial reporting purposes (including ASC 805, ASC 820 and ASC 360) as well as for tax reporting purposes.

Real property valuation and consulting assignments may include core real property types as well as various types of specialized real property assets, and in the context of business combinations, impairment testing and measurement, fresh-start accounting, and other transactions. You will have the opportunity to assist throughout the various stages of these assignments, which will include the valuation of both owned and leased real property interests.

You will assist in the review and consideration of client provided information (including property-level operating statements, fixed asset detail, property records, and other relevant documentation) to derive indications of value using multiple methodologies including the income, sales comparison, and cost approaches. You will analyze the real property, market and/or sub-market data, and pertinent industry information as it relates to the real property.

You will perform market research to understand key statistics and trends, which will be used to support the inputs in the real estate valuation modeling. Through your detailed analysis, you will develop an in-depth understanding of the client, including the operations of a client's business and how the real property assets support the business operations and strategy. Some of the primary responsibilities are:

Summarizing and analyzing data including portfolio, and individual property-level financial performance and forecasts. Participating in calls and meetings with clients to gather information about real property assets. Participating in site inspections when part of the scope of a valuation assignment. Working with a variety of templates based upon project goals. Maintaining organization of client documents and managing and planning around project workflows. Conducting economic, market, and property-level research. Utilizing discounted cash flow, direct capitalization, sales comparison approach, and cost approach valuation methodologies. Assist in developing narrative reports describing the methodologies used, key assumptions, rationale, and findings for client deliverables. Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards. The indications of value that are derived from your analysis will be used by clients in their financial statements, reports to their boards of directors, and required tax filings in various tax jurisdictions. Third-party auditors and tax advisors for the client will review your indications of value and test for soundness and completeness.

Core Qualifications:

Bachelor's degrees in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong writing skills and experience with developing presentations and reports using PowerPoint and Microsoft Word Excellent oral and written communication skills Effective project management and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team-oriented environment Ambitious, results driven, self-starter with a desire to thrive in a collaborative entrepreneurial culture The salary range is $80,000 - $105,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography.
