
Trade Show Scanner (MSNC)

We are looking for professional, high-energy, and reliable Show Scanners to support our client's presence at upcoming trade shows and conventions. As a Show Scanner, you are the first point of contact for attendees entering a booth or specific event zone. Your primary responsibility is to quickly and accurately scan attendee badges using hand-held lead retrieval devices to capture data for our sales and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Capture: Proactively greet attendees and scan their badges to record their contact information and interests.
Engagement: Initiate brief, friendly conversations to determine the attendee's needs and direct them to the appropriate booth staff or product demonstration.
Data Integrity: Ensure every scan is successful and, when necessary, manually input booth visitor information or qualifying notes into the scanning software.
Equipment Management: Maintain the functionality of assigned scanning devices and report any technical issues immediately to the supervisor.
Crowd Flow: Assist in managing the flow of traffic within the booth during peak hours to ensure a positive experience for all visitors.
Requirements & Qualifications Professionalism: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a polished, professional appearance.
Stamina: Ability to stand and move around for the duration of a full trade show shift (typically 6-8 hours).
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using mobile apps, handheld scanners, or tablets.
Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse groups of people.
Reliability: Punctuality is critical; must be able to commit to the full duration of the event dates.
Preferred Skills
Ability to remain upbeat and energetic in a fast-paced, loud environment.
Working Conditions
Environment: Indoor convention center or exhibit hall.
Schedule: Temporary/Project-based April 21, 22, and 23 2026.
Physical Demands: Long periods of standing and walking are required.
