Job Title
Support the Mission of the Chester County Sheriff's Office: To provide public service with integrity and professionalism. This position develops, coordinates, and promotes programs and events that strengthen the Sheriff's Office connection with the community. Essential Duties
Plan, develop, and execute community outreach programs, presentations, and special events that promote public safety and positive engagement. Develop comprehensive Event Action Plans (EAPs) for Sheriff's Office-sponsored events and/or supporting events, including safety protocols staffing assignments, resource needs, and contingency measures, coordinate with command staff and partner agencies for approval and implementation. Build and maintain relationships with community groups, local government partners, businesses, and the media. Capture and manage photography and videography of events and activities for public use. Track outreach metrics and social media analytics to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements. Assist in emergency or critical incident communications when directed. Provide administrative support for outreach and event activities, including scheduling, data entry, and recordkeeping. Maintain an event calendar available online to the public. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sheriff's Office mission. Qualifications/Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Meeting and Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience and training. Minimum one year of marketing, digital marketing, or communications experience or related field experience Ability to craft effective communication both internally and externally to support the needs of the department. Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters. Strong time management skills with the ability to establish priorities (remain focused on daily operations). Ability to work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision. Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Experience in social media marketing Advanced customer service skills and experience Ability to work as part of a team. Excellent event planning skills including meetings, trainings, and conferences. Valid State driver's license Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Project Management experience Experience with photography and videography General understanding of County of Chester policies and procedures. Experience in law enforcement Other: Confidentiality is crucial to this position. This position requires professionalism, tact, and a high degree of executive presence. Flexibility to participate in command level incidents, emergency or drill activations, as required. Ability to work extended hours, as required. Additional Information

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills Intermediate to advanced understanding of social media platforms Intermediate to advanced cyber navigation skills for research purposes Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, and talk or hear. On occasion, the employee will need to reach above shoulder height. Rarely will they need to work with arms above shoulders; kneel, stoop, crouch, or squat; crawl; climb stairs; climb or work on ladders; push, lift or carry item; work with office machinery; drive a vehicle; work with an uncommon level of noise; and taste or smell. The special vision requirements for this job are as follows: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) office work Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
