Position Description CGI is seeking a high‑potential Senior SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA Finance (FI), Accounts Receivable (AR), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Funds Management (FM). The successful candidate will work closely with clients to lead workshops, gather and interpret requirements, design and present solutions, configure SAP, and support full lifecycle implementations across the Bill to Collect (B2C), Order to Cash (O2C), and Reimbursable Management (RM) processes within the federal government. The role focuses primarily on design, configuration, and testing in SAP S/4HANA Public Sector, with opportunities to grow and mentor an agile team supporting B2C, O2C, and RM processes in SD, FI, and FM. Experience with SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes is required.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Responsibilities
Facilitate requirements sessions, design solutions, and configure SAP FI, AR, SD, and FM for Public Sector clients while maintaining high customer satisfaction
Lead workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements, identifying gaps, issues, and workarounds across financial management, procurement, and asset management areas
Serve as the client liaison for troubleshooting, including investigating, analyzing, and resolving system issues; mapping business processes; and recommending product modifications
Perform design, configuration, and testing of FI, AR, SD, and FM modules in SAP S/4HANA to support B2C, O2C, and RM teams
Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support the development of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and To‑Be process designs
Support successful SAP S/4HANA implementations by providing functional expertise, guidance, presentations, and training to clients
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check; ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 6 years of SAP consulting experience and accounts receivable experience in SD
Knowledge of financial management best practices, including demos, test scripts, and functional/technical design documentation
Expertise in configuration and implementation of FI, AR, SD, and FM
Knowledge of key integration points across SAP modules
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
Experience using SAP Activate methodology
Experience with end‑to‑end SAP implementations
SAP S/4HANA certification
Experience integrating SAP Finance (FI), Sales and Distribution (SD), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Funds Management (FM)
