Renewable Energy Solar Development Director – Central Region Ecoplexus is seeking a Renewable Energy Solar Development Director for the Central Region, with options for remote work. The role involves leading project development activities, managing teams, and coordinating with various departments to achieve project goals in solar, wind, and energy storage. Candidates should have over 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the U.S. Central region, and a background in finance, law, or energy business.

About Ecoplexus Ecoplexus Inc. is a rapidly growing renewable energy developer and independent power producer (IPP), targeting the utility scale renewable energy and energy storage markets. Headquartered in San Francisco with offices in North Carolina, Dallas, Mexico City, Seoul, Tokyo, and Ho Chi Minh. Ecoplexus has grown at an annual rate of >50% per year since 2009 and expects to complete approximately $500M of projects over the next two years. The company has developed, built, and operates over 80 projects in the U.S. and Japan, with a substantial development pipeline of solar, wind, and energy storage assets in North America and Asia.

Position Lead the Company's project development activities in the U.S. Central region (ERCOT, MISO, SPP), working closely with senior management. Report to SVP, US Development & Origination. Key responsibilities include:

Management of regional project development activities: site acquisition, permitting and entitlement work, interconnection and transmission planning, and revenue contract origination.

Recommend a portfolio investment strategy for the region and develop project/portfolio level budgets and timelines.

Oversee junior developers and manage a team of internal matrixed subject matter experts and/or outside consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Participate in or lead sales and marketing activities for utility and non‑utility offtakers; coordinate company responses to utility and other entity RFPs.

Identify prospects for mergers and acquisitions; assist in diligence and lead or participate in acquisition, joint development, divestiture, power purchase, and other agreement negotiations.

Negotiate consulting agreements and manage consultants.

Create and maintain project reporting and management processes to optimize development spend and risk reduction across the portfolio.

Support Executive and Finance teams during investor due diligence.

Provide regular updates to the Executive Team and promptly raise concerns when they arise.

Ensure smooth transition to Ecoplexus operations team as projects progress to construction; provide post‑development support as necessary.

Employee may be provided with additional responsibilities based on mutual agreement.

Requirements

6+ years of experience with wind, solar, or thermal energy development.

Experience in the U.S. Central region preferred.

BA/MBA/JD in finance, law, or energy business related fields preferred.

Proven experience in successfully developing and bringing online large‑scale solar, wind, and/or energy storage projects in the United States.
