
Digital Marketing Intern

Interactive Strategies is looking for a smart, ambitious college student or recent grad to join our team this summer. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to launch a future career in digital marketing and learn what agency life is really like on the inside. If youre looking for a slow-paced, mindless internship that doesnt require much more than showing up and zoning out, this isnt for you. Instead, we promise to provide real opportunities for you to learn new things from our senior staff, attend client meetings, and create actual client deliverables.
The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and passionate about a career in digital marketing. You should be able to follow instructions, work quickly and efficiently, and be a team player. You will gain broad experience in various aspects of working within an interactive agency.
Responsibilities
Assist with the creation of email campaigns, online promotions, blog articles, and internal marketing projects
Engage in brainstorming sessions to shape internal marketing strategies
Assist with scheduling and publishing regular social media content, while keeping the team informed about calendar activities
Provide support with the distribution of marketing materials
Assist with social media tracking and data collection
Ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of our email marketing lists
Support the development of new and innovative marketing collateral
Conduct content audits for new client projects
Prepare competitive analysis reports and other client-deliverables
Record minutes at client meetings and collect Google Analytics reports
Assist with internal resource planning
Provide input on email campaign designs
Collaborate on the execution of re-branding campaigns
Take on additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
Interactive Strategies is looking for an undergraduate student or recent graduate in the Washington DC area who is majoring or graduated with a degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web, Social Media and Microsoft Office. Writing samples are not required but would be a plus. Must be able to work at least 2 days/week at a minimum of 16 hours/week.
Compensation - Hourly: $17.95/hr
Location: Washington D.C., Remote-US
