
Business Insurance Account Manager II

Account Manager II at McGriff , a division of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), seeks a dedicated professional to manage business insurance accounts.
A day in the life.
Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email, and in person.
Assist assigned clients and staff with service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues, and problem solving, upon request.
Continually seek cross‑sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
Work with Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive, if applicable, to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients; coordinate meetings with client and/or Producer to present renewal documents and gain acceptance or commitment to alternative options.
Assist with the marketing of accounts as requested by Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive, if applicable.
Prepare marketing information or provide required information to a marketing person; present the options to the client as appropriate.
Complete the implementation process; prepare and deliver all applicable forms to client.
Assist Producer in conducting relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients.
Become proficient in the client management system(s), update policies, log activities, manage follow‑up, and use the system to acquire information to assist clients.
Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay abreast of new products and legislative changes.
Mentor team members.
Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
Three to five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
Appropriate insurance license(s).
Strong client‑relation skills, excellent communication, a service orientation, and tactfulness in resolving client and company problems.
Leadership skills: providing direction, constructive feedback, development and training; motivating others to maximize productivity and team morale.
Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications.
Advanced degree.
Certification in field of endeavor.
Experience with Requests for Proposal.
