Top rated Insurance and Retirement carrier is looking to grow its IMO (Annuity) distribution channel and is currently seeking candidates for its Strategic Account Manager / External Wholesaler opening. This is a hybrid role and will focus on maintaining and building a presence in the Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) Channel specifically for Annuity products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with IMO’s to distribute Annuity products and have a deep understanding of the overall process and workflow. Qualified candidates will also need to have active 6 & 63 or 7 & 66 FINRA licenses or able to obtain after hire. Strong connections to AIN and/or LIBRA is a big plus as the client is looking to expand these relationships.
Responsibilities Developing and implementing the sales plan along with the Internal Sales partner
Identify and engage with targets and prospects, build the relationships through effective communication, product knowledge, etc.
Work closely with internal partners in Product, Marketing, Operations and Compliance
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Annuity products, competitor products, trends, pricing and servicing
Help to coach and train, take part in sales training programs focused on Annuity Sales
Managing the overall relationship process with the IMO partners
Work strategically with the Internal Sr Leaders on special projects designed to expand the IMO channel
Requirements 5+ years experience as an Annuity Wholesaler or Strategic Account Director
Deep Annuity product knowledge
Proven experience working with the IMO and Broker Dealer Channel
Strong Sales drive with the ability to meet Sales KPI’s and production requirements
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel 50% minimum
Active 6 & 63 or 7 & 66 FINRA Licenses
Relationships with IMOs such as LIBRA, Simplicity, FIG, Creative One, Advisors Excel, AmeriLife, Integrity, etc. are highly desirable.
