
Junior Architectural Designer
DIALOG, San Francisco, CA, United States
We are seeking a motivated Junior Architectural Designer to join our collaborative design team. Working closely with Senior Architects and multidisciplinary team members, you will help shape projects from concept through construction while continuing to build strong technical, graphic, and design skills in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment. DIALOG values our in‑studio design culture. You will be in person in the studio for a minimum of three days per week, with the option of working remotely for up to two days per week.
Responsibilities
Assist in creating and developing innovative design concepts and solutions while working collaboratively during concept design, space planning, schematic design, and design development.
Generate, ideate, and design in all phases under supervision.
Produce pre‑design, design, and technical drawings for all project phases under supervision.
Participate in the technical development of projects during construction documents with guidance from Senior Architects.
Take ownership of project tasks and use critical and creative thinking to solve design and technical problems.
Maintain clear communication and coordination within internal team members.
Support the development of the architectural in‑house design production expertise and methodologies.
Attend or participate in client and user meetings.
Qualifications
0–2 years of architectural production/design experience.
Degree in Architecture.
Experience using Revit.
Proficiency in 3D modeling, parametric modeling, and visualization using Rhino, Grasshopper and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) – an asset.
Strong visual and graphic communication skills.
Team‑oriented and a committed collaborator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills focused on effective collaboration and integration.
Interest in parametric modeling, AI, etc. preferred.
