About the Role The
Designer Lead, Product Design
is a design leader within the
Digital Employee Experience (DEX) AI program , responsible for shaping and delivering AI‑powered employee experiences end to end. This role defines how employees interact with AI‑enabled tools, platforms, and workflows—ensuring experiences are human‑centered, accessible, and aligned to enterprise standards.
You will partner closely with Product, Business Systems Analysis, Engineering, Data, and HR to translate AI capabilities into clear, usable, and trusted experiences. You will also set design direction, drive consistency, and raise the quality bar across the DEX AI rollout.
What you will be doing AI Digital Employee Experience Design Leadership
Lead the
product design strategy
for AI‑powered employee experiences, including copilots, conversational interfaces, intelligent workflows, and personalization.
Own the end‑to‑end design process from discovery and concept development through delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement.
Translate AI capabilities into intuitive experiences that improve employee productivity, confidence, and engagement.
Design AI interactions that are transparent and trustworthy, aligned with responsible AI principles and enterprise guidelines.
Product & Experience Design
Partner with product managers and business analysts to define experience vision, user journeys, and success outcomes for AI‑enabled employee products.
Create and review user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction models, and high‑fidelity designs.
Apply human‑centered design, service design, and design thinking to solve complex employee experience challenges.
Maintain consistency across platforms by contributing to and evolving enterprise design systems and experience standards.
AI Enablement & Collaboration
Partner with engineering and AI platform teams to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and delivered to a high quality bar.
Collaborate with data and AI teams to understand model behavior, outputs, and constraints, and reflect them clearly in the user experience.
Support change management and communications partners to roll out new AI‑driven experiences with clear guidance and in‑product education.
Leadership & Influence
Lead by influence within the
DEX AI program —mentoring designers and strengthening design practices.
Facilitate workshops, critiques, and co‑creation sessions with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and usability across all employee‑facing AI experiences.
Qualifications Product Design Expertise
Deep experience in product design, UX/UI design, or service design within complex digital environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead design for large‑scale enterprise platforms or products.
Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design execution and outcomes.
AI & Digital Experience Skills
Experience designing AI‑enabled or data‑driven experiences (e.g., conversational interfaces, personalization, automation, or decision support).
Understanding of AI UX considerations including trust, transparency, and explainability.
Ability to balance automation with human control, clarity, and appropriate guidance.
Collaboration & Communication
Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to present design concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
Experience partnering with product, engineering, and data teams in agile or product delivery models.
Additional Bonus Qualifications
Experience designing employee‑facing platforms, HR technology, or internal digital tools.
Familiarity with responsible AI, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices.
Experience contributing to or leading design systems in large organizations.
