Corporate Tax Provision Manager

Job Title Corporate Tax Provision Manager
Location Houston, TX 77002 (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Manage corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 tax provision projects
Lead client engagements from planning to completion
Review tax returns and identify tax‑saving opportunities
Work with IRS and state tax authorities
Mentor and supervise associates and interns
Support large multi‑state and global company tax matters
Collaborate with internal tax specialists and client teams
Must-Have Qualifications
Active CPA (Illinois/Chicago or reciprocity) OR JD with active law license
Currently working as a Tax Manager
4–7+ years corporate tax compliance or consulting experience
Recent ASC 740 tax provision experience (within last 1–3 years)
Public accounting experience (Top 15 firms preferred)
Experience with large multi‑state/national/global companies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Able to work onsite 2–3 days/week
