
Division Sales Engineer Aftermarket - MVCA - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Division Sales Engineer Aftermarket - MVCA - 1st Shift. This position offers a HYBRID work schedule Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (3 days office, 2 days wfh) at our Arden (Asheville) NC Eaton location.
The Aftermarket Division Sales Engineer is responsible for customer order negotiation and quotation responsibilities including commercial guidance, technical support, pricing, shipment information, and specification interpretation of the products assigned in order to increase volume of sales in assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with established division profit, sales, and customer service objectives.
This position interfaces with NAS Field Sales, channel and direct end users to support profitable growth for both Medium Voltage Control (MVC) and Medium Voltage Drives (MVD).
The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

In this role you will:
Establish and maintain the best possible commercial relations with present and potential customers by effectively employing the art of salesmanship, application engineer, product knowledge, knowledge of customers business and organization, and competitive products and activities.
Review customer needs and specifications in order to determine the bill of material and the competitive price level and shipment within the industry.
Interpret incoming orders for proper content, price, etc. to meet customer requirements prior to order acceptance at the division. Complete and submit order entry information for backlog entry.
Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure resources are available to support customer commitments.
Perform as technical and commercial liaison between field sales, customers, and other division functions when required.
Recommend changes or modifications in products, policies, or procedures to maintain and further enhance product leadership and to meet plant total quality objectives. Take active role in the development and execution of sales plans through developing monthly forecasts and reporting industry / market segment trends.
Provide guidance and direction to NAS field sales, channel as well as engineering technicians and customer service representatives as required.
Perform tasks necessary to facilitate accurate and timely hand-off of incoming order information to operations to support successful execution of customer projects.
Assume special projects at the direction of the Sales Manager and/or the Product Line Manager.
Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum two (2) years’ combined experience in an engineering, sales, and/or technical role.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Asheville NC Eatton location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years prior technical sales experience
Working knowledge of medium voltage controls and/or variable frequency drives
Strong working knowledge of the functions of sales and negotiations
Skills:
Exemplifies solid product and technical knowledge of control equipment applications.
Strong written, oral and inter-personal communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Must exhibit a willingness and ability to provide a leadership role within the department. Sense of urgency and ability to manage conflicting urgent priority
