Job Description
Emergency Director – Virginia Veterinary Centers, Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position leads the emergency veterinary team at a critical care and emergency hospital.
About the role As the Emergency Director, you will partner with the board‑certified criticalist and surgeon, oversee emergency cases, and ensure exceptional patient care while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and guidance to the emergency veterinary team
Oversee and manage emergency cases, ensuring the highest standard of care
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
Implement and uphold hospital protocols and standards
Collaborate with other department heads and board-certified criticalist to enhance overall hospital performance
Actively participate in continued education and training programs
Compensation and Benefits
Flexible base salary with 23% production, no negative accrual
12 days paid time off
Paid licensure, PLIT, and professional dues
No ER non‑compete
