This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team as a field‑based

Account Executive . You will collaborate closely with sales leadership to shape go‑to‑market strategies and launch groundbreaking cancer screening technologies that directly impact patients’ lives.

In this role, you’ll promote the SHIELD colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test to healthcare providers in primary care settings, driving early detection and reducing healthcare costs.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets by prospecting, building relationships, and executing national sales strategies.

Target and engage healthcare providers, gaining commitment to adopt the SHIELD test for CRC and beyond.

Apply challenger‑selling techniques to understand provider needs and demonstrate how Guardant Health’s products improve outcomes and streamline practice workflow.

Educate and support providers with in‑depth product knowledge and training, ensuring stakeholder endorsement.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (clinical, marketing, product) to align sales strategies and share feedback.

Identify new business opportunities within your territory and partner with regional laboratories to expand reach.

Develop and execute business plans for launching new cancer screening technologies.

Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to refine sales tactics.

Share customer feedback and insights with the commercial team to enhance product offerings.

Provide high‑touch customer service, proactively resolving issues and supporting providers throughout the sales lifecycle.

Maintain compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of customer‑facing sales experience in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical) or 2 years of sales experience plus direct clinical experience as a registered nurse or physician assistant.

Experience with diagnostic products, especially blood‑based testing or cancer screening products, and familiarity with the primary care landscape are preferred.

Demonstrated ability to engage in sales conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings.

Strong product knowledge and the ability to quickly learn technical information.

Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Proficient in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar.

Superior negotiation, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills.

High‑touch customer service and relationship‑building focus with a long‑term partnership mindset are preferred.

Personal Requirements

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to travel daily within the territory and occasionally nationwide for sales meetings.

Annualized base salary range: $116,000 – $133,000 (US location).

Compensation will also consider experience, education, and business needs.

Hybrid Work Model Employees living within 50 miles of a Guardant facility are required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Eligible employees may work from home on other days, as outlined by management policy.
