
Regional Marketing Manager I/II - Chronic Migraine/Spasticity & Movement Disorde

Job Description
Candidates will be hired at a level commensurate with their experience; this role will be filled at either grade 18 or grade 19. The Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is a key member of the Marketing Team. This role is field‑based and serves as the field liaison to home‑office‑based Marketing leads and the primary contact for HCPs and field sales within an assigned geographical region. The RMM supports thought‑leader injector training and development, engages with External Experts (EEs) to gather business insights to support strategic brand planning, and drives Peer‑to‑Peer education. The RMM strategizes and collaborates with Region Directors and the Director of National Accounts (DNA) team to engage Headache Centers and Academic Medical Centers. Additionally, the RMM identifies and supports customer training and education opportunities based on area needs. This role covers Wisconsin, Illinois, Northern Texas, Michigan, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a region customer engagement plan that supports best‑in‑class injector training, education, and optimal patient experience with clinical outcomes.
Manage and support the Speaker Bureau within the assigned area.
Engage with regional/local EEs, emerging leaders, and state/local society leadership to gather insights for key business questions that support marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development to drive brand performance.
Identify and recruit faculty and attendees for national program launches and speaker training.
Consult with HCPs on Peer‑to‑Peer content development.
Provide training on HCP‑led educational and injector training content updates.
Uncover region speaker programming opportunities based on local market dynamics.
Provide guidance on speaker selection and content to align speaker to audience.
Collaborate with portfolio Marketing Teams on Neuroscience External Expert Engagements.
Lead and/or co‑lead congress planning and EE engagements within the assigned region.
Identify key EEs for conference product theaters and other injector training opportunities at meetings and events.
Coordinate execution of all conference elements across appropriate internal stakeholders and agency support.
Serve as the marketing lead for field competitive insights to inform strategy and brand planning execution.
Understand objectives and key business insights for advisory meetings, identify and recruit appropriate HCP targets, attend and/or assist in interview board facilitation.
Understand a specific geographical region’s market drivers, competitive landscape, and provider dynamics.
Scope and Key Skills
Manage effective written and oral communications with EEs, confidently representing AbbVie’s interests during interactions and collaborations with external stakeholders.
Translate market trends, insights, and competitive practices to identify key business opportunities and use them to develop strategic and tactical plans.
Maintain a working knowledge of industry information sources.
Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results while influencing without authority.
Support tracking and management of the marketing budget, manage conventions, speaker programs, and meetings within the assigned budget.
Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high‑quality work in a timely fashion.
Adhere to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Understand attributes of other AbbVie internal functional areas and the impact of relevant decisions.
Drive personal or company vehicle or powered material handling equipment usage as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field.
Advanced degree or previous sales/marketing experience required; MBA preferred.
Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products.
Minimum 5 years of sales or marketing pharmaceutical experience, including clinical liaison, sales training, marketing, Sr. Account Executive, or District Manager experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven sales, sales management, training, and/or marketing experience.
Travel up to 60% of the time, including some weekends, with requirement for evening work.
Collaborative working style; ability to work across an integrated team of colleagues, understanding priorities and key responsibilities that impact the business.

Individual compensation within this range will depend on many factors, including geographic location. The range may be modified in the future.
