Your role in helping us shape the future: U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. In this position you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to develop the Speed Desk and NYCU content.

Responsibilities

Write 5–6 short, timely, and relevant stories per day, focusing initially on Health, Education, and Money/Finance, with the latitude to expand into other areas as needed.

Write timely news articles with a focus on how this story impacts consumers.

Self fact‑check copy to ensure articles are error‑free.

Fact‑check and edit articles as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience at a media company.

Strong writing and reporting skills, with the ability to turn copy in quickly.

Understanding of SEO best practices, particularly Google Top Stories and Google News.

Experience with traffic analytics tools.

Experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets and Gemini.

Experience working and publishing content in a CMS.
