Become a part of our caring community The Community Engagement Professional cultivates relationships in the community through advocacy programs, community events, active engagement and strategic initiatives. The Community Engagement Professional's work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

This position is a combination remote work at home and field facing position that requires about 50-75% travel in surrounding Florida counties with a primary focus on Leon, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Gulf and Gadsden counties.

The Community Engagement Professional builds visibility and credibility of Humana Healthy Horizons throughout the community via events, partnerships and c-suite interactions. Strategizes methods to scale communities and drive greater connections to impact health outcomes and increase brand visibility. Engages community members, nonprofits, FQHCs and faith-based organizations. Interprets public health and membership data to implement department strategy and company initiatives.

This position will work closely with non-profit executives and requires providing a high-level of customer service and ongoing engagement. Will report to the Supervisor, Community Engagement

Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and receives guidance where needed. Follows and understands the need for established guidelines/procedures.

Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

Experience in corporate social responsibility, community outreach, education and/or nonprofits

Experience in supporting Medicaid health plans and/or underserved populations.

Familiarity with Florida geography and culture, particularly the Panhandle and Northwest Florida.

MUST reside in Leon County or within a 15-mile radius of Leon County.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and 2 or more years of experience working in a community serving organization, healthcare or government program serving Medicaid beneficiaries, or vulnerable populations.

Proficient in administration and data management systems.

Knowledge of and ability to navigate community resources.

Strong knowledge of community-based and faith-based organization operating structures, social determinants of health and health equity.

Understanding of marketing, social media and public relations and its connection to a field-based role.

Event, project and/or program management experience.

Additional Requirements

Location: Candidate is required to reside in Leon County or within a 15-mile radius of Leon County.

Work Style: Combination remote work at home and travel within the local region of Panhandle and Northwest Florida.

Hours/Travel: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

50-75% local travel to onsite locations attending events and community meetings.

This position must be willing to commute through surrounding counties.

Frequent evenings and weekends as needed to meet business needs.

Occasional overnights.

Leader will discuss schedule modifications as evenings, overnight and weekend needs apply.

Driver's License, Insurance, and Automobile Policy

Must have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation and the ability to travel within the state of Florida, as required.

This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with the state of Florida's mandatory minimum limits.

Scheduled Weekly Hours 40

Pay Range $58,700 - $70,400 per year.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
