Senior Marketing Analyst (Contract) We are hiring a Senior Marketing Analyst (Contract) who will be a key member of the Marketing Analytics team focusing on measuring paid and organic marketing performance to drive Brand Awareness, MAU, Registration and Subscription growth. The role reports to an Analytics Manager and partners tightly with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Remote / On‑Site Options This position is fully remote or hybrid, depending on location. Those near our San Francisco or New York offices work on‑site three days per week.

Responsibilities

Support brand media measurement planning and strategy, ensuring investments align directly with Strava’s brand marketing OKRs.

Work closely with Brand Marketing, Data Science and external agencies to attribute investment, including modeling (MMM), incrementality testing and advanced attribution techniques.

Gather requirements from cross‑functional partners for self‑service use cases that complement their workflows.

Provide the source of truth for internal consumers by owning critical analytical reporting on metrics such as aided brand awareness, familiarity and consideration.

Create and manage data pipelines from multiple sources, balancing performance and scalability to keep data accessible, fresh and consistent.

Deliver persuasive and data‑driven media performance reviews, audience insights and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders and marketing leadership (weekly and monthly business reviews, OKR reviews, etc.).

What You’ll Do

Define and build key metrics and dimensions that accurately reflect user behavior and drive meaningful marketing decisions.

Measure performance across paid channels, including TikTok, Meta, Reddit and similar platforms.

Expertise in SQL, with extensive experience extracting large datasets and designing ETL workflows.

Experience with Tableau and proficiency in quantitative programming languages such as Python.

Deep technical expertise in brand measurement methodologies, including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), lift studies and experimental design.

Take high ownership of work and drive outcomes with confidence and humility.

Communicate compelling narratives, making complex data accessible to non‑technical audiences.

Consistently meet goals, keep projects on pace and follow through on commitments.

Spot insights in data that others have overlooked, and recommend improvements to self‑service capabilities and ways of working.

Requirements

Strong analytical background with experience in marketing analytics.

Proficiency in SQL, data pipelines, and data warehousing.

Experience with Tableau and a quantitative programming language (Python, R, etc.).

Knowledge of marketing mix modeling and other measurement methodologies.

Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights to diverse audiences.

Self‑driven, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
