This is a 3-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA.
Photographer Summary The Media Products Design team is seeking a freelance Photographer to create original photography for media products. In this role, you will develop and produce compelling visual assets from concept through execution. You will plan and manage both simple and complex shoots while also independently capturing and producing visual assets from start to finish. The work will contribute to meaningful, timely, and culturally relevant visual storytelling across media platforms.
Our Ideal Candidate
5-8 years of experience
in professional photography, particularly within the music, entertainment, or event industries
Passion for photography, music, culture, and lifestyle with a strong foundation in visual storytelling and studio photography
Proficient in
Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop), Capture One, and Keynote , with strong photo retouching and digital workflow skills
Familiar with
studio lighting techniques (constant and strobe), mixed lighting environments, digital capture equipment, and digital asset archiving practices
Skilled in collaborating with
creative directors, art directors, producers, and cross-functional teams
Able to work independently and manage multiple photography projects simultaneously
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and production environments
Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
Comfortable working with high-profile talent and maintaining discretion when handling confidential materials
Job Description In this role, you will produce original photography for media products, creating compelling visual assets that resonate across multiple channels and platforms.
You’ll partner with
creative leadership, art directors, producers, and other cross-functional teams
to develop and execute photography concepts that support product storytelling and brand expression. This includes planning and managing photo shoots, capturing portrait and documentary-style imagery, and producing high-quality visual assets under tight timelines.
You will also manage digital photography workflows, including
editing, retouching, file organization, archiving, and keywording , supporting the broader creative team's ability to deliver impactful visual content.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in
Photography, Visual Arts, Media Production, or a related field , or equivalent practical experience
Background in
photography, visual storytelling, creative production, or media design
Experience assisting established photographers or working with notable talent in the
music, entertainment, or cultural media industries
is preferred

The pay for this W-2 position is
$76.12 per hour
