Account Executive

Overview The Account Executive is responsible for driving patient referral growth, managing provider relationships, and expanding market presence for Vital Care of Springfield.

This is a territory-based, field-facing role focused on building and maintaining relationships with physicians, clinics, and health systems. The Account Executive will execute against a defined territory plan, generate referrals through consistent in-person engagement, and serve as a key liaison between provider partners and the pharmacy team.

This role works closely with the CEO, clinical leadership, and operations to ensure a seamless referral experience and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Provider Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and health systems within the assigned territory.

Conduct regular in-person visits, educational in-services, and follow ups to drive referral growth.

Identify new referral opportunities and expand existing accounts through consistent outreach.

Represent Vital Care of Springfield at provider meetings, events, and industry functions.

Territory Management & Execution

Own day-to-day execution of a defined territory plan to achieve referral and growth targets.

Maintain a consistent cadence of outreach across accounts.

Track activity, referrals, and pipeline using CRM tools.

Monitor referral trends and adjust outreach strategy to optimize performance.

Provide regular updates on territory activity, wins, and challenges.

Care Coordination & Internal Collaboration

Partner with pharmacy, nursing, and intake teams to ensure smooth patient onboarding and service delivery.

Act as a point of contact for providers, helping resolve issues and ensuring a high-quality experience.

Communicate provider needs and market feedback to internal teams.

Support provider education on therapies, services, and referral processes.

Market Development

Develop a strong understanding of local referral patterns, competitors, and health system dynamics.

Position Vital Care of Springfield’s home infusion services as a high-quality, patient-centered alternative.

Contribute insights to refine messaging, materials, and outreach strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; healthcare, business, or related field preferred.

3-6+ years of experience in sales, account management, provider relations, or healthcare business development.

Strong relationship-building skills with a consultative, service-oriented approach.

Experience working with healthcare providers or within healthcare settings preferred.

Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to manage a territory independently.

Comfortable with CRM systems and data-driven territory management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel throughout Massachusetts.
