We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to own Vego Garden's social presence day to day and help us spread the joy of gardening! This is a hands‑on role for someone who can plan content, write clearly, engage with customers, and turn social channels into a helpful, trusted extension of the brand. Team Leadership & Mentorship : Manage and mentor the internal social team, defining content direction, campaign strategy, and performance expectations. Foster a culture of accountability, creative excellence, and continuous improvement across all social functions. Social Strategy Management : Build and lead the full social presence across all platforms and communities including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and emerging channels, defining brand voice and establishing posting cadence. Leverage platform algorithms and SEO to grow reach and ensure Vego is a thought leader in the gardening and sustainability space. Subreddit Strategy & Reddit Authority : Move beyond direct interaction to establish Vego as a trusted, value-added member of the gardening Reddit ecosystem. Lead organic interactions, provide expert horticultural advice, and manage brand reputation. Facebook Group Ecosystem Management : Transition the Vego Garden Facebook group from a customer service hub to a high-value educational community. Develop a moderation framework that empowers "Super-Users" and fosters peer‑to‑peer mentorship. Emerging Platform Strategy : Lead Vego's expansion into emerging channels with platform‑native strategies, not repurposed content. Develop a high‑utility Pinterest ecosystem focused on garden planning and visual SEO. Identify and integrate into high‑impact Discord servers to engage with the next generation of tech‑forward sustainability enthusiasts. Horticultural Authority & Education : Serve as a technical resource for the gardening community. Be comfortable discussing zone‑specific planting, soil health, and pest management, ensuring Vego's voice is one of undeniable authority. Community Care : Build and moderate dedicated spaces beyond basic interaction to foster peer‑to‑peer support, turning our social presence into a thriving resource center. Respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags in a timely, on‑brand manner, ensuring every gardener feels heard and valued. Community Expansion : Maintain a continuous pulse on the evolving digital landscape, proactively identifying and pursuing new online spaces where Vego can add value and build meaningful presence. Brand Reputation & Escalation : Monitor community conversations for emerging issues and customer service needs, escalating concerns to the appropriate teams with the context and urgency required to act quickly. Serve as the connecting link between the community and internal teams, ensuring no voice goes unheard. Strategic Content Collaboration : Partner with internal teams to ensure social content is "community‑first", turning real customer questions and success stories into high‑performing UGC campaigns. Contribute to the creation of PPC ad content, ensuring paid creative reflects the authentic voice, language, and needs of the Vego gardening community. Data & Reporting : Provide sophisticated reporting that connects social engagement to business impact, including brand sentiment, customer lifetime value, and community‑driven conversion. Continuously translate community insights into actionable feedback for Product, Marketing, and CX teams. Trend & Cultural Monitoring : Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in social media, gardening culture, and adjacent categories to ensure our brand remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovations and community conversations. Event & Campaign Activation : Partner with internal teams to transform physical and digital events into high‑impact community milestones. Design "social‑first" narratives that drive FOMO, incentivize real‑time participation, and turn one‑off events into long‑term brand affinity. Perform other related duties and projects as required. Comply with Company policies and procedures. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or relevant field required. 5+ years of experience managing social media communities for a DTC e‑commerce brand. 1+ years of experience managing or leading a small team. Proven Green Thumb: demonstrated understanding of gardening to serve as a credible resource. Strong written communication skills with a clear, friendly brand voice across platforms. Deep understanding of social media strategy and online culture. Experience growing social media presence on platforms like Reddit, Discord, YouTube, and Pinterest. Proficiency in social analytics beyond surface‑level metrics. Experience contributing to or informing paid social and PPC creative. Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, Sprinklr). Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple platforms, campaigns, and community spaces simultaneously. Experience planning or activating social‑first event and campaign strategies. Physical Demands

This position involves working both indoors at a desk and outdoors in a farm setting. Must be able to operate a computer for prolonged periods with moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, moving objects, reaching and crouching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Exposure to outdoor environments including hot and cold temperatures and humidity. Job Location and Work Schedule

This is a full‑time, hybrid position with 4 days on‑site. Remote candidates considered for an exceptional match. Travel: Up to 25% (approx. 1 week per month) to Texas for team collaboration. The position will work at two locations: Headquarters (13808 Boudreaux Road, Bldg. #2, Tomball, TX) and Farmhouse (22503 Lain Road, Spring, TX). Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Lunch break 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Benefits

The salary range is $70,000 - $95,000. Flexible Paid Time Off. 12 PTO days per year, accrued bi‑weekly, with incremental increases annually. 7 paid Holidays. 401k contribution match of 4%.
