Akkodis is seeking a
Senior Business Analyst
for a
06+ months contract job
(with possibility of extension) with one of our client in retail domain in Akron, OH (hybrid).
Pay Rate Range: $70 - $75/hr. on w2. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Schedule - Mon - Fri (8 am -5 pm EST, hybrid - 2 days a week in office)
Important Someone who can identify and document business requirements. They will also be asked to system test and work with the business with User testing application changes. One of the major efforts this person would be involved with is a project where client has a 3rd party team converting dozens of desktop applications used by their Distribution Center to Web applications. Client will need someone to help ensure that the converted applications will function in the same manner as their legacy version. This person will need to work with the business to assist them with User Testing and Implementation.
Knowledge & Experience 5+ years related experience. Experience in development of business process workflows. Proven experience in gathering and documenting requirements. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases. Understanding of concepts of software development life cycle. Solid experience writing SQL queries.
Experience with the following: Jira. Confluence. PL/SQL Developer. Visio. Microsoft 365 (including Excel, Word, Power Point).
Position Summary The Analyst is responsible for requirement gathering, business process design, development of use cases, testing and post production support of business applications for Merchandising, Distribution and Manufacturing.
Strategy & Planning Determine business functional requirements through a variety of interviewing and facilitation techniques. Collaborate with other Solution Delivery/Infrastructure teams to develop solutions that meet the requirements given by the business. Develop knowledge in the change request process. Grow knowledge of best practices and market trends.
System Implementation Produce/maintain project deliverables including entity model diagrams, detailed requirement and design specifications, test cases, and project plans. Communicate project scope, open items, and issues/risks to the project team. Maintain accurate information in the standard project tracking tools and project documentation. Perform unit and systems testing. Enforce standards and methodologies that pertain to quality, consistency, and accuracy of project design, development, testing and implementation. Participate in technical walkthroughs to validate design.
Operational Management Manage system support to identify, track and resolve system issues with users, technical resources, and vendors. Assist in training and the support of end-users on developed applications.
Formal Education & Certification Bachelor degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience. Certifications a plus.
