Communications and Public Outreach Specialist - TS/SCI CI Poly
The Communications and Public Outreach Specialist serves as a key driver in consolidating and communicating cohesive messaging to various IC community stakeholders. This role is essential in advancing the agency mission by promoting its research efforts, technology transitions, and overall brand presence. The successful candidate will navigate both publicly facing (unclassified) and Intelligence Community (classified) audiences, ensuring all communications are compliant with agency requirements.

Responsibilities Strategic Communications & Outreach Campaigns
Campaign Management: Develop, execute, and evaluate comprehensive outreach and engagement plans that align with the agency’s strategic goals, technology transition missions, and requirements collection.
Media Relations: Maintain and update (bi-monthly) the core news reporters list. Coordinate all pre-publication and security reviews for media content.
Content Development & Multimedia Production
Digital Content Management: Support and manage unclassified and classified content for IC Agency website applications, social media platforms, and Wikipedia/Intelink pages, ensuring information is timely and accurate.
Writing & Editing: Draft professional news articles (e.g., showcase, transition), monthly newsletters, speeches, talking points, and update technical documents ensuring accuracy and public affairs compliance.
Visual & Graphic Design: Generate comprehensive visual media, including slick sheets, presentation graphics, posters, logo designs, and graphic diagrams.
Video Production: Manage pre- and post-production for final videos and/or animations of IC Agency-sponsored events and programs.
Academic Partnerships
Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with program teams and acquisition staff to ensure Intellectual Property (IP) rights are accurately captured and communicated. Generate materials conveying partnership processes to stakeholders.
Publication Cataloging: Document, log, and maintain a comprehensive catalog of peer-reviewed public publications resulting from Agency-funded research.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or Media Studies plus five (5) years of combined experience in communications, public affairs, graphics design, or web content management; OR a High School Diploma plus ten (10) years of the aforementioned combined experience.
Strategic Expertise: Demonstrated experience drafting, executing, and evaluating strategic communications plans against an organization's specific goals, objectives, and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Experience: Prior communications and public outreach experience within the Intelligence Community (IC).
