Infusion Clinic
Pain Clinic
Vascular Access
Wound Clinic
What You Will Do The RN Director of Outpatient Services directs services, workflow, and resources for multiple outpatient clinical programs including but not limited to Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Cardiac Stress Testing, and the Outpatient (Timeshare) Clinic. Responsibilities also extend to specialty areas such as the Sleep Disorders Lab, Infusion Clinic, Vascular Access, Wound Clinic, and Pain Clinic, as well as oversight of the Senior Life Solutions program which provides outpatient geriatric psychiatric services staffed by RNs, Medical assistants, and Social Workers. The director collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care across all service lines, monitors program performance, and drives initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and service standards. The director provides direct supervision to the clerical support staff, medical assistants, specialty clinic RNs, and contracted specialty clinic physician-s, while also participating in staffing as needed to ensure appropriate coverage for high volume or vacancies.
Oversees and directs implementation of programs and/or redesigns care or service delivery to improve patient outcomes and service standards.
Collaborates to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery across the continuum.
Develops and grows businesses with referring facilities and other business care services. Monitors trends and identify opportunities.
Co-ordinates activities related to clinical quality reporting to meet contractual requirements and facilitate performance improvement activities.
Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing and prepares and monitors budget(s).
Leads continuous evaluation and optimization of clinical and business processes to ensure alignment with evolving patient needs, and system priorities.
Develops and executes financial and operational strategies focused on cost control and resource optimization.
Participates in Billing for the service lines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, CCRN, or NEA-BC) are preferred depending on the service lines supervised.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5-7 years of clinical experience in acute or outpatient care settings required.
3-5 years of progressive leadership or management experience in clinical operations, ambulatory services, or service line administration (e.g., cardiac, pulmonary, infusion, or specialty clinics) required.
Proven experience in staffing and quality improvement required.
