About the Position
The Trade Compliance Specialist is an entry‑level role that supports WatchGuard’s global trade compliance program. This position plays a key role in ensuring that import and export activities comply with applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations. A Day in a Life In this role, you will support daily trade compliance activities by assisting with restricted party screenings, reviewing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal teams such as Sales and IT. You will also help prepare for audits, research regulatory requirements, and support compliance reporting, gaining hands‑on experience with global trade operations.
Position Responsibilities
Assist in ensuring compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations and company trade compliance policies
Perform denied and restricted party screenings for customers, business partners, and vendors
Maintain trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory record‑keeping requirements
Coordinate with Sales and IT teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance procedures
Support internal audits, reviews, and compliance assessments
Research regulatory requirements and assist in interpreting trade regulations
Help maintain compliance databases and documentation systems
Provide administrative and operational support for trade compliance processes and reporting
Required Qualifications
College degree (required)
Strong research and analytical skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to analyze information and follow structured processes
Compensation The base salary range is $65,000-$75,000 per year for full‑time employment, exclusive of benefits. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 5% of the base salary. Your base salary will be determined by your individual skills, education, and experience. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future salary growth.
