Hunter Foundry Parts Sales Engineer Our Hunter Foundry Parts Sales Engineer is a professional who specializes in selling complex technical OEM parts. They combine their technical expertise with sales skills to understand customer needs, provide OEM parts solutions, and support the sales process.

Responsibilities

Customer Assistance: Greet customers and assist them in finding the parts they need, answering questions, and providing advice on part usage and maintenance.

Inventory Management: Ensure parts are correctly stocked and displayed for optimal visibility and accessibility.

Sales Transactions: Calculate sales totals, process payments, and handle returns or exchanges.

Order Processing: Manage orders from customers and technicians, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.

Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the parts being sold, including their functions and compatibility.

Customer Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.

Problem Solving: Address customer complaints and find solutions for issues such as backorders or damaged parts.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in engineering or a related field preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a past sales or technical role preferred; experience with Foundry molding equipment is a plus; strong understanding of the technical aspects of the products being sold.

Skills: Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex technical information clearly; proven ability to sell parts and recommend complementary products; understanding of the parts being sold and their applications; self‑starter able to adapt to changing work schedules to accommodate the customer.

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Position requires 5% to 10% travel with occasional international travel.
