Position Overview A well‑established and innovative property management organization is seeking an experienced
Commercial Property Manager
to oversee day‑to‑day operations of a multi‑tenant
commercial/industrial property
in Newbury Park, CA. This role is ideal for a customer‑focused professional who takes pride in operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and proactive property management.
The Commercial Property Manager will serve as the on‑site point of contact for tenants and vendors and will partner closely with senior property leadership to ensure smooth operations, cost control, and strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of property operations, including building systems, security, janitorial services, landscaping, and parking
Manage leasing activities, including renewals, lease documentation, and interpretation of commercial lease agreements
Maintain strong tenant relationships and proactively address issues to support retention
Assist with marketing initiatives for the property
Prepare and support annual operating budgets, capital expenditures, CAM estimates, reconciliations, and monthly financial reports
Manage administrative and accounting functions, including rent rolls, accounts payable/receivable, lease administration, insurance certificates, collections, and delinquencies
Coordinate capital projects and tenant improvements, including vendor selection, bids, and build‑outs
Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure the property remains clean, organized, and market‑ready
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of commercial property management experience
Strong working knowledge of multi‑tenant office, industrial, or warehouse properties
Experience with commercial leases and property financials
Proficiency with
Yardi
and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and meet deadlines
Valid California driver's license and insurance; willingness to use personal vehicle for local travel (mileage reimbursed)
On‑site presence required; this position is not remote
