WKSE‑FM Audacy Buffalo is in search of the next great talent to join our on‑air team!

The anticipated starting salary range for New York‑based individuals expressing interest in this position is $65,000.00 per year – $75,000.00 per year.

Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative.

Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence.

Protect the station’s FCC license.

Monitor the music and commercial logs for the air shift.

Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly.

Operate the control board and perform production work.

Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts.

Other duties as required by management.

Qualifications

Minimum 5‑year on‑air experience, with Top 40 and/or Hot AC radio format experience preferred.

Must be an excellent and creative communicator who is a master of mass‑appeal pop culture content that can articulate in an entertaining and organic manner to a Generation X and Millennial audience.

Must be knowledgeable and a fan of Top 40 and Hot AC music and have an understanding of how to relate it to the audience.

Must be collaborative and work closely with station management and peers, both as part of a collective on‑air show and with other dayparts, on content strategy.

Must have solid skills in audio production and a strong working knowledge of using production and on‑air studio equipment and software applications like Adobe Audition, Wide Orbit, VoxPro.

Adhere to all company policies and guidelines of station, company, and FCC.

Show prep, including format‑related content, pop‑culture content and local content; writing and posting web and social media content; writing and delivering commercial or personal endorsement content.

Host regular air shifts, plus other voice‑tracked shifts as assigned.

A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor‑vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
