About This Opportunity Join Veolia as a Field Service Representative (FSR) in our Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) division and advance your career in hands‑on technical service and sustainability. This is a field‑based position supporting multiple customer sites across the greater Richmond, VA area. The role requires regular local travel between sites.
What You’ll Do
Technical Service & Installation:
Install, commission, and service chemical feed equipment, pumps, controllers, and instrumentation systems at customer locations
Customer Consultation:
Act as technical consultant providing expert recommendations, training, and solutions to customer management and technical teams
System Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Perform water analysis, calibrate equipment, program controllers, conduct preventative maintenance, and diagnose/resolve system issues through remote support technologies and on‑site interventions
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain detailed service reports, inventory management, and ensure all safety protocols are followed
Territory Management:
Support multiple customer sites within assigned territory, coordinating with sales teams for optimal service delivery
Qualifications
Technical degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required
2‑5 years of experience in instrumentation & electronics, plant operations/maintenance, or equivalent technical training
Familiarity with water treatment processes and industrial equipment preferred
A full valid driver's license and willingness to travel (a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify)
Key Characteristics
Strong troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Safety‑minded approach with ability to work in various industrial environments
Physical ability to lift and carry 30‑50 lbs (frequency varies based on work site) and perform precision work
Computer proficiency and mathematical skills for technical analysis
