Summary Description Work closely with Portfolio Managers to assist with the overall investment function, including emphasis on execution of investment programs to achieve the objectives of assigned relationships. Act within investment policy guidelines to manage a book of portfolios for assigned relationships. Compile investment research as provided by various resources to provide contributions to the overall investment function of the Trust Investment Committee.
Essential Functions
Direct purchase, sale and redemption of investment securities
Work closely with portfolio managers on asset allocation of client portfolios
Daily monitoring of the Divisions’ approved securities
Support and maintenance of the Divisions’ approved securities lists (equity, mutual fund, exchange traded fund) including preparation for Trust Investment Committee meetings
Perform due diligence on Divisions’ closely held securities lists
Perform annual Reg 9 reviews working with Trust Administrative Officers
Meet with prospective and existing clients to review financial objectives and account
Work closely to support new business development officers with preparation of proposals, including client presentations
Assist Trust Portfolio Managers with special projects as assigned
Adherence to all regulatory compliance policies and procedures
Participates in various community based activities
Position Requirements
Bachelors degree in related field
Familiarity with a broad range of trust and investment services
Familiarity with overall investment markets
3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
Willingness to attend Trust School
Overnight travel may be necessary on a limited basis
Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
Typically the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
