Job Description
Join an established Electrical Engineering and Design team at our Mt. Vernon office as an experienced Electrical Designer. Collaborate with engineers, senior designers, junior designers, and drafters, managing projects independently and in partnership with engineers. Engage in diverse projects of varying scope and scale, with support from senior engineers.
Responsibilities
Prepare drawings and documentation for power distribution, lighting, motor control communications, heat tracing, grounding systems, instrument plans, circuit schedules, and instrument loop drawings.
Perform basic calculations for voltage drop and conduit fill.
Collaborate with and lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to deliver client projects.
Conduct on-site meetings with clients for site walkthroughs, progress meetings, field data collection, and ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in electrical design related to power distribution.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest version).
Ability to perform site visits, including climbing ladders and navigating large facilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in software such as EasyPower, SKM, ETAP, and Trace Calc Pro.
Candidates with a BSEE or senior level engineer (preferably PE) are also considered.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06/hr.
