Role Summary Onto Innovation is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to support external messaging and demand‑generation efforts across the 4D Technology product portfolio (industrial, optical, and semiconductor metrology). This role is designed for a hands‑on marketing professional who can translate strategic priorities into high‑quality execution. The Marketing Communications Specialist will partner closely with product management, sales, and marketing to deliver impactful digital campaigns, content, events, and lead‑generation programs that drive awareness and customer engagement.

Marketing Communications & Messaging

Support development and execution of external messaging and positioning.

Translate technical concepts and product capabilities into clear, customer‑focused marketing content.

Ensure messaging consistency across digital channels, campaigns, and events.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Execution

Execute day‑to‑day digital marketing activities, including:

Website content updates and SEO optimization

Email and digital campaign deployment

Social media campaigns and analytics

Lead‑nurture programs and marketing automation workflows

CRM input, cleanup, lead tracking and reporting

Support lead‑generation initiatives aligned with sales and business priorities.

Track and report on campaign performance, supporting continuous improvement.

Content Development

Create and maintain marketing content, including:

Website and product pages

Blogs, application notes, and case studies

Sales and event collateral

Coordinate with product management, engineering, and applications teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.

Events & Trade Shows

Support planning and execution of trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events.

Develop supporting materials and pre‑/post‑event digital campaigns to maximize visibility and lead capture.

Multimedia

Managing MarCom plan to execute activities on time and at a high level of quality

Oversee product and customer‑testimonial photoshoots and video creation, from planning through delivery of final assets.

Project Management

Create and maintain graphics, videos, gifs, etc. for digital and print product promotions.

Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements.

Research

Gather prospect intelligence and subsequent outreach.

Gather data on competitors and industry trends to support marketing strategies.

Cross‑Functional Support

Collaborate with product management, sales, and corporate marketing to align daily execution with broader business and marketing strategies.

Help support marketing efforts across multiple brands and product lines in a growing, multi‑portfolio environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

1+ years of experience in marketing communications, digital marketing, or demand generation, preferably in B2B science and technology marketing, including optics, aerospace, aviation, or general high‑tech.

Strong writing and content development skills, with experience supporting technical or complex products.

Working knowledge of:

SEO and website content management, preferably WordPress

Email marketing and digital campaigns

Marketing automation and CRM tools, preferably Pardot, Salesforce.com, Oracle SalesCloud

Reporting tools and analytics

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite

Experience with video creation and editing a plus

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

Experience in industrial metrology, precision manufacturing and semiconductor equipment.

Familiarity working with global teams and supporting multiple product lines.

Comfortable working in a hands‑on, execution‑focused role within a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation & Growth Base Salary Range: $46,880.00 - $70,320.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
