
Senior Specialist, New Verticals - Alcohol

The alcohol GM team is responsible for growing DoorDash’s $1.5B alcohol category. This role will sit on this team, supporting our efforts to attract, retain, and grow our consumer base, with a particular focus around occasion and promotion execution, including building our occasion & promo strategy, execution, and building intuition/learnings for how we improve both strategy and execution.
About the Role
(Define Strategy: 10% of time) collaborate with GM team to define occasion strategy and approach
(Lead Execution: 70% of time) support quick executional efforts and manage campaign execution from end to end
(Drive Learnings: 20% of time) write campaign retros and identify best practices for future efforts, levering SQL to analyze campaign performance and identify what is working well and what isn’t

Technical Skills:
Google Sheets / Excel

Campaign Manager
- (learn on job). Able to set up & audit campaigns
Figma
- (can be learned on job). Able to create images for banners and emails using templates. Willing to learn more advanced level to create templates themselves
SQL
- basic understanding. Able to manipulate and write queries to pull performance metrics. The candidate will be given a few SQL exercises for assessment
Knowledge / Experience:
Project Management
- Able to prioritize an ongoing intake of projects
Stakeholder Management
- Familiar with daily updates and working with many cross-functionals
Data Analysis
- Able to pull performance across individual campaigns to compile learnings and incorporate those into future work
Speed and Consistency:
This is a daily process – we need someone who’s able to be hands on, available, and all over it

What are ways to improve efficiency? E.g., by creating templates, reducing steps, re-allocating resources, etc.
What this role supports differently from Ad Ops / Central Creative team:
Alcohol experimentation
Alcohol-specific POV on efficiencies & ROI from each work type
Ad-hoc campaigns that require high-trust touch

Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
$25.80 — $38 USD
