Job Description
Performs day-to-day Logistics Operations which includes the accountability for the planning and scheduling of transportation equipment and finished goods inventory in support of the business demand utilizing various reporting databases; SAP, Scale Soft, Lab Manager, and SHIPCSX rail management systems in the successful completion of the job functions.
Works with Plant Production personnel and Plant Operators
Effective communication with Truck Carriers and CSX Railroad staff
Adhere to shipping requirements with Distribution, R&D and Laboratory
Recommend transportation changes to accommodate customer requirements
Data entry into computer-based information systems
Post Goods Invoice (PGI) Truck and Railcar Shipments
Schedule and prepare Truck and Railcar shipment document packages
Acts as back‑up for truck and railcar coordinator during staff vacations
Maintain Office Supplies and Materials
General office supplies
Material and Product Tags
Qualifications
Minimum requirement HS diploma with some work experience preferably plant and/or logistics related.
Preferred
5+ years experience
Bachelor's is a plus
