JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Commercial Portfolio Manager supports the Commercial Portfolio Manager and the Commercial Banking Team to ensure collection of up to date and timely information for all the Bank’s commercial loan customers. The Assistant Portfolio Manager will be expected to work in tandem with the Commercial Lending and Commercial Credit Team on the collection of necessary financial information and data from existing bank customers within the portfolio, as well as provide accurate and timely data driven reporting on commercial loan customers and the commercial loan portfolio in general.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager is expected to develop working relationships with commercial loan customers and assist the Commercial Banking Team to enhance the overall customer experience with Greenfield Savings Bank.
The Assistant Portfolio Manager supports the Portfolio Manager who is responsible for administering the bank’s Customer Relationship Module / Loan Origination System (Salesforce nCino). This responsibility is technical in nature, and both the Assistant Portfolio Manager and Portfolio Manager are responsible for continuous improvement to the Bank’s commercial banking software and processes.
This role supports the Portfolio Manager’s management of the department’s workflow and supports the Team to ensure timely processing of commercial loan requests.
DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Supports the Loan Production Team with entry of new loan requests into the Commercial Lending Pipeline, assesses documents provided by clients for completeness and outlines outstanding documentation. Generates term sheets, assess collateral coverage, research property details, etc.
Supports requests, tracks, and monitors all financial documentation to be collected from existing Greenfield Savings Bank commercial loan customers to assure timely and up-to-date financial Covenant reporting to meet GSB policy guidelines.
Daily monitoring of the Commercial Loan Delinquency Report and Missing Documents Report and work closely with the Commercial Lending Team on customer contact to obtain payments and missing documentation as needed.
Assist the Commercial Portfolio Manager in the preparation and data collection for examiners and internal/external auditors as required.
Serves as a backup for appraisal ordering, monitoring and review of all commercial real estate appraisals completed for the Bank.
Supports Commercial Portfolio Manager with vendor management duties for the Commercial Loan Department
Represents the bank through attendance of community events or client visits as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Supports GSB Commercial Lending Team on assessment of issue reports.
Facilitate prioritization of system change / enhancement requests from GSB team in alignment with budget.
Execute system change/enhancement requests in partnership with the vendor (requirements, planning, testing, GSB communication).
Monitor daily data load and work exceptions and errors.
Monitor vendor release communication of system enhancements and new functionality. Communicate new / changed capabilities to GSB staff.
Facilitate GSB team participation in vendor provided training courses.
Is a champion of continuous improvement for processes related to the bank’s Customer Relationship Module / Loan Origination System (Salesforce nCino).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
Lending experience or awareness
Awareness of banking regulations
Software management experience
Functional knowledge and experience with Salesforce nCino and Fiserv Cleartouch.
Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel freely without restriction
