
Loan Servicing Specialist

Our client, a financial services organization in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Mortgage Servicing Specialist to support the ongoing administration of residential mortgage loans. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate loan servicing, regulatory compliance, and a positive borrower experience throughout the life of the loan.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for borrower inquiries related to mortgage accounts, payments, escrow, and loan terms
Process and post mortgage payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Review, research, and resolve servicing requests including payoff statements, lien releases, escrow adjustments, and payment discrepancies
Maintain accurate loan records and documentation within servicing systems and document repositories
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., title companies, insurance providers) to resolve servicing‑related issues
Monitor assigned queues, inboxes, or reports to ensure service‑level standards and deadlines are consistently met
Support audits, quality reviews, and regulatory requests by providing timely and accurate documentation
Identify servicing issues and elevate complex cases as appropriate while maintaining excellent customer service
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in mortgage or loan servicing, banking operations, or a related financial services role
Strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes, including payments, escrow, and loan documentation
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
