Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in San Antonio, TX for a Structural Steel Estimator. The main responsibilities include preparing accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication projects, analyzing blueprints and project specifications, collaborating with clients and internal teams, and determining project requirements.
The role involves the use of specialized software to compute material, labor, and other costs, as well as ensuring compliance with industry standards and company practices.
Qualifications
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, project specifications, and technical drawings.
Strong skills in cost estimation, material takeoff, and budgeting specific to structural steel projects.
Experience with construction software and tools for estimation and project management.
Knowledge of steel fabrication processes, welding standards, and industry regulations.
Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and liaise with clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other related software.
Relevant experience in steel fabrication or a related field is preferred.
