What You’ll Do This position assists in formulating financial aid policies, interpreting federal and state regulations, supervising staff handling aid programs, and monitoring scholarships to prevent over‑awarding. The role also collaborates on system implementations and supervises the VA coordinator, with a strong commitment to exceptional student service.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

Assists with the implementation of policies stemming from federal and state regulation updates to ensure compliance. Maintains statistical data and letters pertaining to financial aid programs, and helps maintain an office policy and procedures manual.

Assists the Director of Financial Aid with monitoring and coordinating financial aid satisfactory progress in relation to college policies. Works extensively with the Foundation in scholarship management.

Assists in the development and implementation of cross‑training activities for the financial aid staff. Coordinates dissemination of financial aid information to the consumer and counsels students on financial aid. Assists in implementing computer systems.

Manages all Financial Aid programs under the Director’s purview, supervises and coordinates three technicians, and supervises Financial Aid Assistants in front desk duties and customer service. Acts as a liaison with other college offices and represents the Director as needed.

Manages the Federal Work‑Study Program, monitors fund balances, assists the Director with reconciliation of disbursements, coordinates fund balancing with the Business Office, maintains student files, and ensures program administration complies with federal and college guidelines.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree required; minimum four years of student financial aid experience.

One year of supervisory experience and one year of Title IV financial aid processing.

Master’s degree preferred; minimum three years of student financial aid experience with the same supervisory and Title IV requirements.
