I’m a director based in Northern Virginia, coming out of production on a ~$25k short film titled The Heron. The film is a slow-burn crime drama with psychological and character-driven elements. Tone is grounded, tense, and minimal not fast-cut or stylized. Position
I’m looking for a narrative editor who understands pacing, silence, and performance-driven storytelling. This project relies heavily on restraint and emotional timing rather than speed or visual effects. Location Preference
Local (DC / Northern Virginia / Maryland) strongly preferred, as I’d like to collaborate in person during the edit. Sample Requirements
1–2 narrative scenes (not reels) Work that reflects tone and pacing (not music videos or commercial edits) Budget
Budget: $1,000–$3,000 depending on experience and scope.
