Job Description The Department of Marketing in the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University invites applications for a full‑time Special Purpose faculty appointment in Marketing beginning August 2026. The position involves teaching four classes each semester and providing service at departmental, college and university levels. Candidates should be passionate about teaching and mentoring business/marketing students, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, including experience with applied learning and experiential education. Responsibilities include teaching a wide variety of marketing courses as well as the College’s first‑year experience course. The standard teaching load is 4 courses per semester (8 courses per year) – most in person, occasionally online. This appointment is contingent on final approval from the Provost’s Office and may be renewed subject to budgetary approval.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a master’s degree in marketing, business, or closely related discipline.
For master’s candidates, recent, sustained professional experience that is substantive and related to the area of teaching.
Considered a qualified instructor per AACSB accreditation requirements and the Davis College standards; typically entails substantial experience for master’s holders or an active research portfolio for doctoral holders.
Continued employment contingent upon maintaining necessary faculty qualifications per the department’s standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Evidence of successful instructional experience at the college level and a graduate degree from an AACSB‑accredited business school.
Experience and interest in teaching Principles of Marketing, Retailing, and a variety of other marketing courses.
