Position Overview Tyko Sign Group is seeking an Experienced Sign Designer to join our Los Angeles office. This role is ideal for a creative and detail‑oriented designer with a strong background in electrical sign design and hands‑on experience producing accurate, fabrication‑ready drawings. The Sign Designer will work closely with engineering, sales, and production teams to bring client concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities
Design custom electrical and illuminated signs from concept through final production.
Create detailed design layouts, shop drawings, and visual presentations.
Ensure designs comply with electrical, structural, and local code requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine designs for manufacturability.
Revise and update drawings based on client feedback and production needs.
Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
+5 years of professional experience designing electrical signs.
Strong understanding of illuminated sign components and construction methods.
Proven experience creating production‑ready sign designs.
Ability to work on‑site in Los Angeles, Monday–Friday, 9–5.
Portfolio or examples of previous sign design work required.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with industry‑standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or similar programs).
Experience working in a sign manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
