
Senior Scientific Associate - Lab Sciences

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scientist (Molecular Biology) for our Safety Assessment site located in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field of Molecular Biology with academic and laboratory research background. The candidate must be an expert in commonly used laboratory Molecular Biology techniques such as RT-PCR, qPCR and ddPCR, and have experience with report writing, data interpretation, and project management.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in a scientific related discipline. Related Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) or PhD/DVM preferred.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience in the contract research, academic, or pharmaceutical industry.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft® Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. and with standard laboratory calculations.
The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $82,000 annually USD. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
